A new cancer research facility

Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center is breaking ground on a new Transformational Cancer Research Building (TCRB).

Opening in early 2024, on the corner of NW 10th Avenue and NW 14th Terrace, in the heart of Miami’s Health District, the Sylvester TCRB will stand 12 stories high as a beacon for innovation and part of Miami’s booming skyline. Within these 244,000 sq ft of space, we will have 3 floors solely dedicated to patient care and will offer some of the most cutting-edge clinical trials in the country. Through our phase 1 clinical trial program, with many therapies stemming directly from Sylvester faculty labs, our expanded cancer center will offer novel and life-saving treatments only available here in South Florida.

Nearly 500 research faculty and staff will pass through the doors every day, testing the newest therapies and treatments for our patients in the 8 floors of wet and dry labs and an additional floor for equipment. A beacon of hope for the community, our luminary researchers will be asking the important questions to address the cancer burden, specific to our richly diverse populations.
