Great care yields better outcomes
COVID-19 illustrated the urgency of providing leading-edge care in an environment that maximizes every patient’s well-being and comfort. Now more than ever, we understand that the populations we serve rely on us in times of crisis, and every member of our health teams—from doctors to nurses to administrative staff—work seamlessly to deliver treatment of the highest caliber while providing an experience focused on the whole patient. As part of that goal, we have expanded and continue to expand our geographical footprint to bring our world-class care as close to our patients’ homes as possible. These efforts include the opening of the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute surgery center in Naples in 2015; planned expansions in Doral and Aventura; patient shuttles to and from our satellite locations, including Coral Springs, Deerfield Beach, and Fort Lauderdale; and streamlined check-in procedures, campus guides, and soothing spaces across all our medical sites.
Support for the campaign will take our excellent patient care to the next level. Funding initiatives will help us recruit and retain superb doctors and nurses; bolster vital resources to our staff, such as continuing education courses and simulation labs; and construct a new hospital that will provide cutting-edge care in cancer, brain, spinal cord, and cardiovascular disease.
Fundraising priorities:
- We will recruit and retain top medical talent, along with professional development opportunities for current staff.
- We will make strategic investments in our operating and recovery rooms, catheterization labs, and with robotic surgery.
- Construction of a new, state-of-the-art hospital will provide care for cancer, brain, spinal cord, and cardiovascular disease.
