Clinical trials program
Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center offers the only Phase 1 clinical trial program for children and adults in South Florida to evaluate new investigational drugs and treatments. These studies have identified alternative treatments for solid tumors and hematological malignancies, but more can be done.
Our NCI-designation sets us apart as a leader in moving scientific discoveries from the laboratory directly to patients and in providing the most innovative treatments in the region. Our multicenter clinical trials offer hope for many patients, especially those with rare or drug-resistant cancers. These studies also provide valuable data that inspires our team to make further discoveries and set new standards of care for many difficult-to-treat cancers. We will strengthen our clinical trials program to offer additional trials, complete ongoing trials, and investigate more potential cures for patients.
