Promote health equity across diverse communities through nursing
Health equity is a growing priority for local and global stability, and promoting it requires a comprehensive approach that considers socioeconomic, micro- and macro-environmental, cultural, religious, racial, ethnic, and other contributing factors. The School of Nursing and Health Studies is well-positioned to lead these interdisciplinary approaches.
Funding would augment the production and visibility of our core health equity research mission; strengthen our commitment to building the hemisphere’s health care workforce, with a focus on patient safety; and support our advances in improving health outcomes among women and children.
