Advance making and project-based research

The smart design and technological breakthroughs that enhance the resilience of tomorrow will begin in a School of Architecture studio or fabrication shop.

To accelerate those breakthroughs, the School of Architecture will be a core partner in a University-wide endeavor to establish an innovation center and robotic fabrication facility. The multidisciplinary lab will support solutions for climate-change impacts and more broadly become a platform for makerspaces and project-based research, including innovation with new materials and techniques for fabrication and construction.
