Expanding the canon
The Western canon and its recognized masterworks provide a launching pad for conversations about cultural paradigms and the power of art.
The Lowe will work with community partners to expand the canon by highlighting and exploring masterworks from non-Western cultures that, heretofore, have been overlooked.
