Cuban and Cuban American art and culture
A preeminent platform for collecting, researching, and exhibiting the material culture of Cuba and its global diaspora, the Lowe Art Museum is ideally situated to help the University of Miami become the leading center of Cuban and Cuban American art and culture in our hemisphere.
Through ongoing collaborations and new partnerships, the museum will provide opportunities for exhibitions, programs, and visitor-centered experiences designed to elevate the voices of the diasporic community. This platform, which will showcase the richness of the University’s institution-wide resources related to Cuba, will serve to strengthen our engagement with South Florida’s vibrant and engaged Cuban and Cuban American community.
