Contemporary art and culture

Art mirrors society. It surfaces critical issues and reflects a plurality of reactions and responses thereto.

From pandemics to pop culture, migration to memory, technology to time, contemporary art enhances our capacity to engage with the most urgent concerns of our time. Expanding and diversifying the Lowe's curatorial team as well as creating new spaces within the museum for the dedicated display of the art of today will allow our campus and our community to explore these topics fully while providing new platforms for contemporary artists whose visions and perspectives merit new attention.
