An ancient material, glass has improved the quality of human life for more than five millennia. With its rapidly growing collection of contemporary glass art, the Lowe is perfectly positioned to leverage the boundless possibilities of this dynamic medium.

Achieving this goal will require dedicated space for ongoing, temporary exhibitions curated by a range of faculty as well as leading experts in the field; expanding the museum’s current display area so that more of its rapidly growing permanent collection can be enjoyed by visitors from all walks of life; and creating a new space specifically for glass-centric, interdisciplinary experimentation and exploration.
