Expand our academic scope

Expanding our faculty, research, and academic programs will enable us to respond more vigorously to the growing list of challenges that face our nation, region, and world.

Solving the big problems facing humanity and building a better future for all will require a long-term, broad-based, interdisciplinary effort to advance scientific and technological research and discovery. To make this happen, we will establish clusters that support a series of institutional strategic thrusts. These initiatives will primarily focus on advanced materials, data science, environmental issues, health care, space sciences, and sustainability.
