Making room for growth

Changes in the delivery of ophthalmological care require continuous upgrades to clinical, teaching, and laboratory spaces.

In all areas of ophthalmological care, Bascom Palmer Eye Institute is constantly seeking more effective treatment and faster recovery times. The 2020 opening of our Lois Pope Center for Retinal and Macular Degeneration Research created a beacon of hope for many. But more spaces and resources are needed for other areas of research and care. For example, a pediatric care space would enable dedicated personnel to address the needs of premature infants, as well as children of all ages.
